The Vineyard at Mount Ida Farm

 Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in central Virginia, Mount Ida Farm & Vineyard’s stunning  5,000-acre estate lies just a few miles from James Monroe’s Highland and Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, the birthplace of American viticulture. Acres of cabernet franc, merlot and chardonnay varieties are interlaced with hundreds of acres of raspberry and blackberry vines,  corn, soybean and one of Virginia’s largest purebred angus herds.  With some of Virginia’s finest soils Mount Ida farm has continued to expand its vineyards across several adjoining properties offering winemakers a plethora of options to develop signature offerings. Guests can enjoy guided walking, horseback  and ranger tours of the vineyards.
