We are especially excited to share the photos from Lindsay & Alan’s wedding day because we absolutely loved the way they embellished their indoor ceremony! They were married on a chilly day at the beginning of April, and because of the cooler temperatures and a mix of rain & snow…they decided to say their I Do’s inside. We absolutely love the ceremony decor that they brought in, we really loved the florals and greenery as it added a nice Springy touch.  We stumbled across their wedding website where we found the story about how they met. Enjoy Lindsay & Alan’s love story, as told by themselves, along with the stunning photos from their big day!

Two Fewer Phish in the Sea

Lindsay started working at SNL Financial in August of 2015 as an Operations Specialist in her department. On her first day of work, Alan helped her with her computer since he worked in IT. They both were attracted to each other but, unbeknownst to Alan, Lindsay was already seeing someone.

Over the next few months, Alan tried interacting with Lindsay; Lindsay would always politely answer, but never very warmly. She thought he was very cute, but she was still seeing someone. Alan tried talking to Lindsay’s team members in hopes of enticing Lindsay to respond. However, after many polite responses, Alan started thinking Lindsay just didn’t like him and never would. Alan gave up on flirting with Lindsay.

About six months passed before anything happened between the pair.

Lindsay was on a business trip in Dallas when disaster struck – her work email was hacked and sent a phishing email to her entire contact list right as the conference ended. Her colleague, Jeanne, called Lindsay to let her know that the problem had been identified and Alan would be reaching out to help. Alan called Lindsay and resolved her issue completely. Monday morning rolled around, Lindsay profusely thanked Alan for all of his assistance…which (of course) opened up the conversation floodgate.

Right around this time, both Lindsay and Alan became single…but not for the reason you might be thinking. It just so happened that they both were in unhappy relationships and had decided to end them. As they spent more time together, Lindsay and Alan realized that they had shared interests. Lindsay and Alan were able to laugh and joke with ease; they watched Firefly together, quoted Metalocalypse, and enjoyed the rides at the Dogwood Festival.

Alan and Lindsay started quietly seeing each other and were promptly found out by some of their colleagues. Some of those colleagues were not the best at keeping secrets (you know who you are, hehe). Eventually, word got out that Lindsay and Alan were dating and “congratulations” and “I’m so happy for you’s” were said.

Call it fate, luck, serendipity, or any derivative of those, the outcome is the same: Lindsay and Alan found each other and can’t wait to be wed.
