This year we completed our wedding venue trifecta with the addition of Water’s Edge at Mount Ida Reserve! Water’s Edge sits on its own 750 acre piece of land just about ten minutes from the main farm. Rustic charm meets coastal elegance at this beachside retreat. Along with state of the art indoor facilities, this new venue also offers plentiful space for those who prefer to keep the party outdoors.
Upon entrance to the property, you are immediately greeted by the newly renovated Old Red Barn. Continue down the road and soak in the scenic views until you approach the beach & pavilion area.
Couples have three options for ceremony locations; choosing between the beach, pavilion, or inside of the Old Red Barn. All of these are great options, but we must admit that we are partial to the beachside ceremony.
The couple along with their bridal party will stand on the dock, encompassed by the private lake and wedding guests on the beach. Couples truly do not need to add much decor to the lakeside ceremony as the natural beauty of the location is already breathtaking, but they are welcome to add in personal touches like an arbor (as pictured here!) Just like our outdoor ceremony locations at the Barn & Lodge, the beach is equipped with power and WiFi.
Once the couple has said I do and the ceremony is completed, guests will make their way to the pavilion which is just a short walk away from the beach. The pavilion is the perfect place for your outdoor cocktail hour. It is complete with a full caterer’s kitchen, restrooms, shade, power, and WiFi. Oh, and let’s not forget the view!
When cocktail hour comes to a close, wedding guests will get back on the bus (or in their cars if they drove) and make their way to the Old Red Barn for the reception. The Old Red Barn offers many amenities including ample parking for guests and vendors, a fully equipped caterer’s kitchen, bridal and groom’s suites, four season HVAC, restrooms, gorgeous chandeliers, tables, chairs, and WiFI… just to name a few! Again, let’s not forget that view! Clients have the option to roll up the three garage doors for a full view of the rolling pastures.
Sunset at Water’s Edge is a particularly romantic time of evening. There are endless options of backdrops for couples who choose to sneak away for some portraits while the sun goes down.
From there all that is left to do is eat, drink, and dance the night away to celebrate with those who are nearest and dearest to you.
Couples have the option to upgrade their wedding to the destination package which includes a two night stay for up to 12 people at the Bungalow and the Cottage at Water’s Edge. Also included in this package is access to the Old Red Barn or the Pavilion for a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding as well as access to the private beach and cabana house.
