Mount Ida Farm + Vineyard is a gorgeous, secluded, 5,000 acre estate located just south of Charlottesville, Virginia. With mountain views, tree-line drives, historic homes available for rent, two on-property vineyards, clydesdales, and private lakes…Mount Ida Farm has everything to make your picture-perfect wedding day come true. We are now offering the choice between two venues; The Lodge and the Event Barn.

THE LODGE
For a more elegant feel with still a touch of modern rustic decor, guests may opt for The Lodge. This 100-year old cattle stable was renovated to the 12,000 square foot building that we now know and love as The Lodge. No shortcuts were taken when building this luxury venue.
The Lodge comes with two ceremony options, one indoor and one outdoor. The indoor option has a beautiful backdrop of the outdoor fireplace through the glass doors. There are windows all throughout the room, so guests still get to enjoy the gorgeous mountain views.
The outdoor ceremony option is Mountain Grove, which gives you a beautiful tree backdrop with a panoramic view of the mountains. The view is truly breathtaking!
THE EVENT BARN
If you wanted a more classic rustic vibe, the Event Barn is for you! This is another cattle barn that was renovated to the 8,500 square wedding venue, complete with a 30-foot high stone fireplace!
The Event Barn also comes with two ceremony options, one indoor and one outdoor. The indoor option has a stunning backdrop of the indoor fireplace. You are welcome to dress the fireplace and mantle up to go with your wedding’s aesthetic.
The outdoor ceremony option is the Gazebo, perfect if you wanted a water feature for your wedding day.
OVERNIGHT ACCOMODATIONS
If you were looking for an excuse to turn your wedding day into an entire weekend-long celebration, look no further! We offer a plethora of historic homes available for day, nightly, and weekend-long accommodations. Get the real VIP experience for the weekend by staying overnight at Mount Ida Farm. Guests who rent out one of the large homes (Mount Ida Manor OR Aventador) also have the choice of either using the venue for their rehearsal dinner up to 50 people OR having the Mount Ida shuttles transport them and the other overnight guests to your offsite rehearsal dinner location.
TASTING ROOM
Eat, drink, and be married! Coming Spring 2018 to the farm: The Tasting Room & Tap House at Mount Ida Reserve. The on-property tasting room will be serving wine AND beer, what more could you ask for?! The tasting room will be the perfect spot for your guests who want to come see the property a little early, or could be a fun activity if you decide to stay with us all weekend long. What better way to celebrate your marriage than with a glass (or bottle) of our Blanc de Blanc?!
