Standing in your reception space while trying to decide how to decorate it, what kind of setup will you need, how many bars, where will the band go, what linens should you choose and the list of questions go on and on. We’ve been there and seen that overwhelming look on many clients’ faces. But don’t fear, we are here to tell you all about one decision that can transform the look and feel of the space with a flick of a switch!  Special event lighting can fill spaces that other rentals can’t, often filling the gaps and bringing everything together. The common misconception is that event lighting is overpriced and is generally considered an “extra” if it can fit in the budget. Lighting can transform the look and feel of a space and give you that glamorous ambiance that no other vendor can. A “wash” is one of the more dramatic looks you can get. It creates an even distribution of lighting to an area (band area, ceiling, reception walls, etc) giving you high impact results. Another favorite are pin spots that are strategically hung from the ceiling, shining down on your beautiful centerpieces. They highlight the best features of a room while distracting your guest from any areas that are your least favorite. Uplighting is another great option for enhancing the ambiance of a space while not using much power or square footage. Uplights are positioned on the ground and can be easily moved if necessary. While your budget may not allow for all of the lighting upgrades, choosing one will make a big impression on your guests while keeping the labor cost low.
